Knit

Dark Phoenix - Tamy Gore

Simple stitches and single color brioche allows the beauty of these colors to stand out. It’s oftentimes the simplest of stitches that create the sweetest projects and allow each color in a design to shine forth
700 - 800 yards (640 - 732 m)
10 mini skeins
US6 (4mm)

Our Checkered Past - Trudy Fedorko

“Our Checkered Past” is a long, dramatic, textured and fun-to-knit scarf. An easy to wear statement piece! The pattern uses five mini skeins for the contrast colors and two full skeins for the main color. Most of the scarf is done in relaxing garter stitch and garter stripes with a few sections of simple slipped stitches for interest. All the real work is done by the beautiful yarn you choose!
Yarn: 1250 - 1300 yards (1143 - 1189 m)

Litmus Cowl - Amy Florence Edwards Green

The Litmus Cowl is a basic recipe for creating a fun striped cowl. It’s something I improvised to work on while I was travelling and I got so many questions about it, I thought I’d write up what I did.
Yarn: 850 - 900 yards (777 - 823 m)
24X5g minis + 1Xx100g fingering weight
needles: US4 3.5mm

Crochet

Faded Pathways Cowl - Mariana Muller

The Faded Pathways Cowl follows in the footsteps of the Frosted Pathways Cardi. Both make use of the Linked Double Treble stitch but the cowl uses 12 (or less) colours and a fading technique for the perfect faded cowl. The ideal project for a mini or advent yarn set.
Yarn: 12Xminis
547 - 656 yards (500 - 600 m)
Hook: 4.5mm

Minnow Throw - Melissa Fisher

Minnow Throw - Swim through a sea of color. The Minnow Throw was designed using mini skeins and a unique, knit-like texture created with a simple crochet technique. This pattern is flexible enough to use ANY yarn weight and amount of yarn, so you can pick out your favorite mini skeins or use it as a stash busting project!
Yarn: 350 - 5550 yards (320 - 5075 m)
Hook: 4.0 mm (G)

Becky Lynn Beanie - Kasey Skeiniac

This is a traditional crochet beanie pattern designed to achieve a lightweight, slouchy beanie look. Two complementing colors are used to create the look of vertical, textured stripes. Given that this project incorporates some advanced beginner/intermediate techniques and is worked with a lighter weight yarn, it is best suited for an intermediate crocheter or adventurous advanced beginner.
